The trail leads us across the apple orchards of the South Tyrolean lowlands to Egna and directly into the Dolomite Road. Passing Montana and the mountain village of Aldino, we reach Nova Ponente, a wide road with manageable ascents awaits us. Consequently, we drive out through the Val d’Ega valley to Bolzano and get onto the Via Claudia Augusta, which will bring us to the home of Gewürztraminer.
