Lake Braies

Lake Braies lies in the centre of the Fannes - Sennes - Braies Nature Park and is considered the most beautiful lake in the Dolomites. The lake was formed many years ago by a mudslide in the Braies Valley at an altitude of almost 1500 metres. At the southern end of the lake, the impressive Seekofel mountain rises 2810 metres into the sky. Lake Braies is the starting point for countless mountain tours in the surrounding area. The lake circuit along the shore is 4 kilometres long.
