The natural wonder of the earth pyramids is located on the Renon. The pyramids, which are up to 20 metres high, are among the highest earth pyramids in Europe, and the material from which they are formed is already 25,000 years old. The erosion phenomena can occur where glaciers from the Ice Age deposited moraine clay. All South Tyrolean earth pyramids are protected as natural geological monuments.
