Guided mountain bike tours in the Vineus

Mountain biking in spring in the holiday region around Lake Kaltern

on the South Tyrolean Wine Road means rolling in for the season. Tramin is particularly suitable for this, as we are almost at the bottom of the valley and the ride home involves only minor climbs. We offer guided MTB tours 6 times a week, from Monday to Saturday. In addition, you will find 20 GPX-tracked tours to put together your own individual programme. In addition, we have a varied supporting programme for a bike-free day. We have all public transport free of charge for our guests, as well as an interesting wine and cultural programme. You can also simply book your room and add the tours as you wish.
Just ask us and we will be happy to inform you and for group requests for training camps or organise this together with you. Just contact us...

Why do we offer guided mountain bike tours with our partners?
No map, no GPX track no description of our area knows our bike area as well as our bike guides. Especially when an unforeseen plan B is needed, the guide is the undisputed specialist. If the tour is too difficult or even too easy The guide has a solution for everyone and will make your biking day an unforgettable experience !!!

The following programme is offered weekly and is subject to seasonal changes. It will be rearranged from week to week.

Tour to the Montiggler Lakes - round trip
From Tramin we head directly towards the Kalterer See lake. The Montiggl lakes are a labyrinth of single trails and are suitable for both levels. A constant up and down, partly forest road, partly trails. It's good that we have a tour guide with us who shows us the way. Through the vineyards and orchards up into the Montiggl forest. We treat ourselves to a little stop for lunch at the small Montiggler See lake. In the afternoon we continue into the forest. Return at around 3pm.
Highlights: The two Montiggler lakes in the middle of the forest and the view of Bolzano.
Performance class 1 - 900 metres in altitude - 45 km
Performance class 2 - 700 metres altitude difference - 45 km

The Roen mountain of Tramin
The Roen, Tramin's local mountain, towers over the South Tyrolean lowlands. This is the hardest tour and clearly the highlight of the week.
The ascent is not for the faint-hearted and the descent is tough, but no problem if your technique and condition are right...
Highlight: The Roen with a view into the valley. The cool trails
Performance class 1 - 2000 metres altitude difference - 55 km

Technique training
A good sweat to the Zogglerwiese 300 m above Tramin. There we hone our technique. Correct cornering, starting uphill, mastering hairpin bends and much more. Every technique we need for biking...
Performance class 2 - 600 metres altitude difference - 20 km

Ice holes - the natural phenomenon
The ice holes, a very special natural phenomenon, are something unique in our country. At about 550 m above sea level, we find ice until mid-June. The vegetation has adapted to this microclimate and is comparable to that which we find more than 1,000 m above sea level. We can admire alpine roses, larches and cranberries.
Highlights: The ice holes
Performance class 1 - 1,200 metres in altitude - 50 km
Performance class 2 - 800 metres altitude difference - 50 km

Trudner Horn Nature Park
Depending on the ability class, we start from Tramin or drive to Truden and start from there.
In Truden we follow the European long-distance hiking trail E5 into the nature park at the Trudner Horn as far as the peak of the same name (1830). Downhill we move on wide forest paths or single trails. From the Kanzel near Gschnon we enjoy the view over the whole Unterland.

Performance class 1 - 2000 metres in altitude - 60 km
Performance class 2 - 900 metres altitude difference - 35 km

A round led by a bike guide on great single trails around Tramin, which are quite challenging. Only he can show you these trails...

Tramin round tour
This is a more leisurely variant around Tramin. We move through the vineyards via Kaltern to Graun. Great views from the Sitzkofel over the South Tyrolean lowlands.

Performance class 2 - 800 metres in altitude - 50 km

Grauner Joch & Fenner Joch
At the start and immediately into the mountain . We have 18 km and around 1600 m of uphill to cover. It's hard on the legs until the calves burn. Once we reach the Mendelkamm, we ride from the Grauner Joch to the summit at the Fenner Joch. A great view, cool trails and our liveable nature. This tour makes our biker hearts beat faster. Via the natural idyllic Fennbergsee lake we head downhill on the Roman path back to Tramin.
Highlights: Human Trails
Performance class 1 - 1800 metres altitude difference - 35 km

The Mitterberg
The Mitterberggrunde is actually a classic loop for rolling in, i.e. a scenic, moderate tour. We follow the Etschradweg towards Bolzano and turn off at Sigmundskron towards Eppan. We return to Tramin via the Montiggl Forest. On the way we take the time to admire the natural and cultural beauties of our area.
Highlights: Visit to the Messner Mountain Museum or a small schnapps distillery on request.
Performance level 2 - 700 metres in altitude - 45 km

Single Trail Round Kaltern
We move in each case not far from Tramin in the direction of Kaltern. These are trails selected by the bike guide, which are challenging and have different levels of difficulty.
This is a trail round of a special kind. Without moving far from Tramin, we have a choice of trails with all levels of difficulty.
